The following is a message from Columbia Association (CA) Sports & Fitness Director Dan Burns regarding the decision to close Haven on the Lake. You can also review this FAQ about the transition Haven will experience over the next few months.
First and foremost, we would like to emphasize our deepest gratitude for being part of this community. As you well know, Haven on the Lake has created a family. We have accompanied each other on journeys of wellness, through hardship and healing. We have helped each other through one of the most difficult tests of our physical and mental capacity, and the team at Haven could not be more thankful for taking part in that journey with you. That sentiment makes this a difficult message to share.
We are writing to inform you that Haven on the Lake will cease operations effective April 30, 2021. CA will work to transition team members to other facilities where possible so they can continue serving you and this community. In addition, we are committed to transferring as much of the specialized equipment as possible to other CA locations so you can continue to utilize it there.
We know Haven on the Lake is a special place, and we understand this adjustment will be an emotional process for many of our members. However, we are confident that the Haven family is among the strongest out there. While this physical space creates a sense of retreat, it’s the people that make it a refuge. This community shares an extraordinary energy that we hope will carry us – together – on to the next step of our journey together.
If you have questions, please forward them to Daniel.Burns@ColumbiaAssociation.org. We will continue to update you on this process and look forward to serving you throughout these next few months and beyond.
