Interested in starting a yoga practice, but not quite sure where to begin? 

At Haven on the Lake, we believe the benefits of yoga are too transformative not to share — which is why we’re bringing it to you for free, from the comfort of your own home. Our upcoming 10-day virtual yoga challenge launches September 8 to give you the tools you need to feel confident on your mat (and off the mat, as a nice trickle effect!). 

Here’s how it works: Each day, Haven program manager and yoga instructor Heather Jefferson will send you a 20-minute class focused on a different element of yoga. Your only job? Show up for yourself. In addition to learning the fundamentals, each daily video will calm your body and mind, and help you be present with whatever is going on in your life. Plus, you get to enjoy a “private lesson” alongside hundreds of others right here in Columbia, which is pretty cool!

While the physical benefits of yoga are widely known — greater flexibility, full-body strength, improved circulation and better posture, to start— the true beauty of the practice is the opportunity to work inward as we get our workout.
