Abril has more than 12 years of experience teaching group fitness classes and providing private instruction to help people reach their goals. After suffering personal injuries, Abril learned to honor her body and understand the importance of a consistent and mindful practice. In her classes, she emphasizes proper form and technique while also offering modified versions of movements in order to meet all participants’ needs. She has received a Group Fitness certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
Sports and group exercise have been a part of Abril’s life since she was very young. In 2004, she discovered yoga and Pilates. In 2016, she received her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) 500-hour certificate through the Yoga Alliance and has also received her Balanced Body Pilates Reformer certificate. She currently teaches Reformer, Mat Pilates, barre, yoga, Yoga Nidra and Les Mills classes.
Abril strives to provide her students with tools that will help them to practice different movements in a way that will complement their lives outside of the classroom in order to make daily activities and routines more enjoyable.
