Arielle began practicing Pilates and yoga at a young age as a complement to her dance training. After graduating from college with a degree in musical theater, Arielle’s passion for mind body movement eventually surpassed her passion to perform.
Today, Arielle is certified in ballet barre, has earned her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification and a Peak PilatesⓇ Comprehensive Certification.
Arielle brings a lighthearted approach to teaching. She works to help her students achieve proper form in a fun, inclusive atmosphere. Arielle believes that mindful movement and connection to the breath are essential to injury prevention and the rehabilitation process.
What is your favorite form of mind body movement or lesson you teach, and why?
I love all types of side bends. Lateral bends are not common in our daily lives but have such great benefits. They challenge each side individually while facilitating deeper breathing and creating a better balance between the left and right sides of the body.
What is your favorite song or type of music you listen to when teaching?
For Pilates, I enjoy teaching without music. For yoga, I love “The Jade Princess” by Bela Fleck. For barre, I love almost anything from The Bird and the Bee.
What inspires you?
Helping people better connect to their bodies.
What is a quote or mantra that you live by?
“Movement heals.” ~Joseph Pilates
What is your haven?
My haven is going on outdoor adventures. Whether it’s exploring Baltimore by bike, hiking in the woods, going kayaking or traveling to a new city, I love being outdoors and trying something new.
