Heather has been practicing yoga for seven years. Yoga is a source of peace for Heather. The practice has helped her find acceptance, strength, and healing through movement, breath, and yoga philosophy. After practicing for four years, she completed a 200-hour Power Yoga Teacher Training at Sid Yoga Center in 2014. Heather later completed a 15-hour Yoga for Emotional Healing Certificate at Fit Yoga in 2014 and a 30-hour Yin Yoga training with Jessie Kates in 2016.
Heather loves yoga philosophy and brings inspirational teachings to her classes. She encourages her students to let go of outside worries, calm the mind, and open their hearts to peace, compassion, self-love and joy, both on and off the mat. She offers many types of assistance and modifications in her classes to help students delve deeper into their bodies. Heather’s favorite type of yoga is Power Yoga and Vinyasa, and she takes a weekly Yin class to balance out her practice. Her favorite musical artist is Trevor Hall, whom she plays often in her classes.
Off her mat, Heather enjoys hiking, reading, knitting, snuggling with her Dachshund, making smoothies and laughing with her family. Teaching yoga is Heather’s dream job, and she can’t wait to share her passion with you!
