Julia Greiwe-Martinez, a Pranakriya teacher with yoga therapy and massage therapy/healing arts training, draws inspiration from a variety of traditions to create a playful, reflective and challenging practice. Julia is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and has been a yoga instructor for over 11 years and a yoga enthusiast since 1995.
In addition, she has a master’s degree in education and currently works as a high school world language teacher and instructional team leader. With a passion for teaching and learning, Julia offers a wealth of experience on the yogic path. Dedicated to sharing insights and skills with her students, her classes focus on the use of asana (postures), pranayama (breath) and meditation to deepen connections to energetic, physical, mental and spiritual areas of the body. This focus leads to a richer and fuller sense of aliveness, well-being and freedom, both on the mat and in daily life. Julia’s students are encouraged to listen deeply to their own body’s wisdom to explore the yoga practice at the appropriate level of challenge and effort.
