Katie discovered yoga while living in New York City in 1999 and has practiced various styles ever since. She fell in love with the way it combined her background of years of dancing and competitive athletics with a sense of peace and calm.
In 2010, the desire to deepen her practice led Katie to her first teacher training, where she completed her 200-hour yoga training. In 2015, Katie continued her journey and completed her 500-hour certification. Katie has developed curricula for yoga workshops and classes such as Yoga for Runners/Athletes, Yoga for Busy Moms, Yoga for Teens, and Un-Desk Yoga.
In addition to teaching adults, Katie is a registered children’s yoga instructor (RCYT) and loves sharing the gift of yoga with children at a young age, having completed course work to teach yoga to babies, toddlers, children and teens.
Katie also enjoys the way her personal yoga practice enables her to live an active lifestyle. She encourages others to make yoga a part of their daily lives, too! Sometimes yoga can be as simple as setting a little reminder to stop and take a deep mindful breath.
