Stella received her teaching certification from The Yoga Center in Columbia in 2002. Her style of teaching yoga is rooted in B.K.S Iyengar — creator of Iyengar yoga and considered to be one of the main gurus to introduce yoga to the west. Her most influential experiences during her training were under the tutelage of Roger Cole, an internationally known Iyengar instructor and a former writer for the anatomy column of Yoga Journal.
After participating in workshops under the direction of Shiva Rae, an internationally known prana vinyasa instructor, Stella was able to integrate seamless, flowing movements into her style.
Stella shares the knowledge she has gained from her extensive education and training into her classes and workshops. Her sensitivity to individual needs infuses the direction of her classes, creating a supportive yet challenging environment.
INTERMEDIATE. A fast paced style synchronizing the breath with each movement. Creative sequencing and fluid movement increases agility, mobility and mind/body awareness. Build upon Yoga Basics fundamentals and explore deeper versions of the poses.
